Buying Special Runs

Let's Talk BreyerFest...Buying Special Runs, That Is!

Special Runs are available to certain ticket holders and each one comes with their own crazy ways to buy them. In this Let's Talk BreyerFest post, I will be going over all of the ways that you are able to buy Special Runs for this year and I will be breaking it down by ticket type to make it a little less crazy!

VIP Ticket- With the VIP Ticket, you were able to select and pay for two Special Runs of your choice. You did that when you purchased the ticket so your Special Runs are already paid for and set aside for BreyerFest. All that you will need to do is pick them up using the Redemption Tickets that you will receive in your Ticket Books. If you are a resident of the Domestic US, then your Ticket Books will be mailed to you starting around 6/17/22. If you are not a Domestic US resident, then you will need to pick your Ticket Books from Will Call starting on July 14th at 10 AM EDT at the Rolex Gate at the Kentucky Horse Park. The full Will Call Schedule can be found in the Let's Talk BreyerFest...Important Information Guide Post.

All Access Ticket- Your Special Runs depend highly on when you purchased your All Access Ticket this year. So I will divide it up and go from there!

If you purchased your All Access Ticket on or before May 22nd- Purchasing your All Access Ticket during this time frame allowed you to use the Special Run Preference List to let Breyer know how you ranked the Special Runs. When your Ticket Books arrive or you pick them up from Will Call, you should be able to see which Special Runs were selected for you based on how you ranked them. In your Ticket Books, you will have Special Run Reservation Tickets that you will need to take to the Special Run pick up tent and that is when you will be able to pay for your Special Runs. You get two Special Runs per one All Access Ticket.

If you purchased your All Access Ticket on or after May 23rd- Purchasing your All Access Ticket on or after May 23rd will give you a Special Run Ticket in your Ticket Books. This is good for two Special Runs per one All Access Ticket. There are no specific times that will be listed on the ticket, but you will need to make your selection from what is remaining in stock during the event. This does mean that some runs could be sold out, however with the increased production numbers, I do not feel that this will be an issue at this time. That is an opinion though and could definitely change!

General Access Ticket- Do NOT get Special Runs

Online Traditional Access Ticket- With this ticket, you will be able to purchase one randomly selected Special Run during the event. At the current time, the price has not been announced. Each Breyer Account that has purchased at least one Online Traditional Access Ticket will be able to purchase one Special Run during BreyerFest Weekend from the BreyerFest Store while supplies last, limit of one per account.

Online Stablemate Access Ticket- Do NOT get Special Runs

Actually Buying and Picking Up Those Special Runs

This section is going to be all about the locations of where to find the Special Runs, both in person and virtually! Again, I will be doing it by ticket so that hopefully it is not so confusing because it is all confusing this year!

VIP Ticket- Per the First Timer's Guide: VIP Ticket Holders can stop by the VIP Tent (which will be next to the Collector Club Tent close to the entrance to BreyerFest) and pick up their pre-paid Limited Editions, Special Runs, and their Swag Box at any time in order to pick up these items. You will need to use the Redemption Tickets that are found in the Ticket Book. Per the FAQs on the Breyer website: VIP ticket holders can pick up any pre-purchased Limited Edition Models and complimentary VIP Swag Boxes at the VIP tent. All in-person ticket holders can pick-up Special Run Models, the Celebration Horse, and Event Stablemates at the Model Handout Tent that will be located near the corner of Nina Bonnie Blvd. and Lee Cholak Drive. So my best advice on this one- Check out the VIP Tent first since we do know for a fact that there are things for the VIP Ticket Holders to pick up there. From there, ask where the Special Runs will be located. Then head down to the Model Handout Tent to get those Event Models that we discussed yesterday, if that makes sense!

All Access Ticket- Per the First Timer's Guide: Take your Special Run Reservation Ticket or your Special Run Ticket to the Model Handout Tent at any time. There are no Time Slots this year so you do not need to wait for a certain time frame to be there. The FAQs on Breyer's website mention the Model Handout Tent as well. However, it was brought up during one discussion on the Special Runs that Breyer had said in their group that there will be a Special Run Tent to get the Special Runs from. At this time, I am going to say that all of the tents will be labeled with what they are and there will be more detailed maps in the program when they do come out.

General Access Ticket- Do not get Special Runs. You can pick up your Event Stablemates at the Model Handout Tent. Limited Editions will be sold in the BreyerFest Stores.

Online Traditional Access Ticket- For your one Special Run, you will need to log into the account that purchased your BreyerFest Ticket. This account is your ticket to BreyerFest. Once you are logged in, you will then head to the BreyerFest Store on the BreyerFest section of the Breyer website. There will be banner or a tab to click. Once you are in the BreyerFest Store, there should be a spot to purchase your Special Run and go from there. The BreyerFest Store is also where you will be buying your Limited Editions.

Online Stablemate Access Ticket: Do not get Special Runs. You can purchase your Limited Editions in the BreyerFest Store on the Breyer website.

Alrighty, that is what both the First Timer's Guide and the Breyer FAQs have said about picking up the Special Runs. Now for my advice: Look for the marked tents. All of the BreyerFest Tents that have Breyer stuff going on in them will be marked. There will be signs that say VIP Tent or Collector Club Tent, Model Handout Tent, and things of that nature. There will be plenty of people to ask, if you get lost because things are in totally different locations this year. Once I get my bearings during the event and get a decent spot to make a post, I will definitely take photos and make posts about which tents are which and where to get what.

I hope that this helps!

Lounge Access

Let's Talk BreyerFest...The Lounge, That Is!

At BreyerFest, there is a magical place that offers air conditioning and light snacks as well as couches to sit on and all for the low price of $35. But I am sure that you have tons of questions about this offer from Breyer.
First, this offer is only available to VIP and All Access Ticket Holders. Only those ticket holders can purchase the Lounge Passes. These Lounge Passes are $35 per day and the refreshments are served at 10 AM EDT and 3 PM EDT on Friday and Saturday and 10 AM EDT and 2 PM EDT on Sunday. These passes will not be mailed and you must pick them up at the location, when you check in on the day of your reservation.
There are no Guest Passes. So if you are taking someone else with you, they need to have a Lounge Pass as well and need to be a VIP or All Access Ticket Holder. There is a limit of four Lounge Passes per day per order.
Second, why would you want this? Well, if you are sensitive to the heat and the humidity or you find that you get tired easily, this is a great place to sit down, rest, and watch the Equine Demonstrations while you cool off. There are couches to sit on as well as other seating available.
There is a free portion of the lounge that is just for parents with babies that offers a secluded place for diaper changing, feeding, and cooling the Tiny Ones down.
Where is it located? The Lounge is located on the Second Floor of the Covered Arena. To reach this area, you will need to enter the Covered Arena on the side where the Snack Bar is. Then you will turn and head towards the restrooms. Once you are near the middle of that wall, you will see a set of steps that will direct your way up to the Lounge. I believe that there might be an elevator as well, but my memory is a bit hazy on that.
That is pretty much all that there is to it. I hope that this helps!

Pick Ups

Let's Talk BreyerFest...How To Work These Pick Ups, That Is! (Repost)

Roadies,
While I say no sales or trades in this group, there are many of you that cannot physically make it to BreyerFest so you need someone to pick up those awesome models for you. Hopefully you have found someone and either you or they are now wondering how they are going to go about this pick up business.
The thing this year is that they are operating the tickets completely differently than they have in the past and that is perfectly alright. Maybe this will work out for the best and this will become the new standard, but who knows! This year is all about new changes to BreyerFest and I, for one, am living for them! So let's get into how to do pick ups with the tickets:
VIP Tickets:
With the VIP Tickets, the Special Runs and two of the Limited Editions are already paid for. So, for those that are doing pick ups for this ticket, your job is incredibly easy. First, you will need the tickets of the VIP Ticket Holder. The main ones that you are going to be needing are the following: The Celebration Horse Model Redemption Ticket, the Full Set of Event Stablemates Redemption Ticket, the Special Run Redemption Tickets, the Limited Edition Redemption Tickets, and the Swag Box Redemption Ticket. That is all of the things that come with the VIP Ticket that you will need in order to pick up these models.
Tickets are only sent to those that reside in the Domestic US, so if the person that you are picking up the models for lives in any other location, you will need to also pick up their tickets at Will Call. Right now, Breyer has not actually said what specifically they will be asking for when you go to pick up the tickets, so I am telling everyone to be uber prepared. Make sure that you have the full name on the account, the Ticket Order Number which can be found on the Account Details Page, and a printed out version of the Ticket Purchase Receipt. They have said that they will not be asking for ID, so that is great for those doing pickups.
You will be paying for any more Limited Editions that you want at the event, so if the VIP Ticket Holder that you are doing pick ups for want more than just those two models, you will need to gather payment from them or work out the small details. There are several locations to ship models from in Georgetown Ky and Lexington Ky, including a UPS Kiosk at the Covered Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park.
All Access Tickets:
These tickets are going to be similar to the VIP Tickets above, but also very different. So let's get into it: With the All Access Ticket, you will get one Celebration Horse Model Redemption Ticket and two Special Run Reservation Tickets if you purchased the tickets on or before May 22nd or two Special Run Tickets if you purchased your tickets on or after May 23rd. The Reservation Tickets are which models that were selected for the account that you are doing pick ups for. You need those in order to purchase the Special Runs. You will need the Special Run Tickets to purchase the Special Runs as well. The Special Run Line will open up around 2 PM EDT on Sunday to ticket holders. Now, the pick up process for these Special Runs is very specific:
Special Run Reservation Tickets: Those with the Special Run Reservation Tickets will go to the assigned tent and present the tickets. The BreyerFest employee/volunteer will take the ticket and present you with the Special Run that was on that ticket. You will then pay for those Special Runs. Remember that you will have two of these Special Run Reservation Tickets per one All Access Ticket.
Special Run Tickets: These tickets will allow you to go through the Special Run Line and purchase Special Runs from the REMAINING STOCK on hand. Yes, that does mean that some of the Special Runs could be sold out at that time. No, it does not mean that they are all sold out of all of the models. The BreyerFest employee/volunteer will let you know which models are available and which models are not available.
You will be paying for the Special Runs at the event, so make sure that you are aware of that detail and get the money, if you are doing the pick ups, or send the money if you are having pick ups done for you. There are several locations to ship models from in Georgetown Ky and Lexington Ky, including a UPS Kiosk at the Covered Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park.
General Access Tickets:
These tickets only come with one Event Stablemate Model Redemption Ticket and the access to purchase Limited Editions during the event so you will not be receiving Special Runs or Special Run Reservation Tickets.
A Small Note: All BreyerFest Times are approximate. They have ran late in previous events, but I always state the time announced by Breyer.
I hope that this helps!

Shuttle Schedule

Let's Talk BreyerFest...The Shuttle Schedules and Where They Go, That Is!

Roadies,
Breyer is utilizing the Shuttles again and that is completely awesome! This way, you will be able to park in one location and still be able to attend the events that you want to attend. The schedules are way crazier this year and they have added two new routes so this Guide will serve as the schedule that Breyer has listed on their website. It will definitely be updated if anything changes.
There are four total routes for this year and each one is color coded. Breyer has labeled the colors and each one is completely different. From just running people from the parking lots to the Rolex Gate (entrance to BreyerFest) to even shuttles running from the Clarion and the other hotels, they are covering a lot of ground this year!
Kentucky Horse Park Routes: These routes are just for the Kentucky Horse Park. There are two this year: Red and Blue.
Blue- This is the express route from the Altech Arena to the Rolex Gate. There are no other stops in between.
Red- The Red Loop will make various stops around the park from the main parking lot and the Altech Arena. If you want to visit the other places of the park and do not want to walk too far, then this is the best shuttle for you.
Each shuttle, Blue and Red, stops at the Entrance Gate (Rolex Gate) and makes their way through the parking lots. They will have a blue flag that states that they are a Shuttle and inside the bus, they will have signage that tells which route that they take- either Red or Blue.
Hotel Shuttle Routes: There are two routes for this shuttle route as well. They are labeled Green and Yellow. These shuttles will run later in the evening and start on July 14th.
Green- This shuttle runs from the Kentucky Horse Park to the Clarion Hotel starting at 5 PM EDT to 11:30 PM EDT on Thursday July 14th through Saturday July 16th. *Please note: Your Three Day Parking Pass (if purchased) only allows you to park from Friday to Sunday. You will need to pay for parking on Thursday, if you wish to use the shuttle to attend the BreyerFest After Dark activities over at the Clarion Hotel. This is HIGHLY recommended since the Clarion Parking Lot is quite small and runs out of room quickly. The time frames allow you to visit the Swap Meet as well as the Artisan's Gallery.
Yellow- This Shuttle runs from the Clarion to the other local hotels in the area. This shuttle does not head to the Kentucky Horse Park, so you will need to hop on the Green one, if you are looking for a ride to the Park. This shuttle will be running a loop from the Clarion to the Embassy Suites, The GLO, La Quinta, The Quality Inn, and the Fairfield Inn. It operates from 5 PM EDT to 11:30 PM EDT on Thursday July 14th through Saturday July 16th.
Make sure to check with the bus driver or the BreyerFest Ambassador about which color the Shuttle is before getting on it and definitely make sure to save this schedule for later use! It will remain in the Guides so that you will not need to go far to save it.
I hope that this helps!

Important Information

 Let's Talk BreyerFest...Important Information

Will Call Schedule: On Thursday, July 14th, it will be located at the Kentucky Horse Park at the Rolex Gate from 10 AM EDT to 4 PM EDT and then it will be moved to the Clarion Hotel from 5 PM EDT to 9 PM EDT. It will then head back to the Kentucky Horse Park and will very likely open around 8:30 AM EDT as this time has not been announced yet and close around 4 PM EDT and the same hours should be for Saturday and it will likely close earlier on Sunday. Will Call is open all weekend long, so there is absolutely no rush to grab your tickets or panic, unless you like doing that sort of thing and then by all means, go crazy!
Ticket Books: This year, the Ticket Books are going to include your Admission Wrist Band, a Parking Pass (if you purchased one. One does automatically come with the VIP Ticket), a Celebration of Horses Evening Performance (on the evening that you chose), your Event Model Redemption Ticket (Nikolas if you have a VIP or All Access Ticket and the Event Stablemates if you have a VIP or a General Access Ticket), (All Access) Special Run Reservation Tickets if you filled out the Special Run Preference List, (All Access) Special Run Ticket if you purchased your All Access Ticket on or after May 23rd, and whatever else Breyer wishes to put in there. If you have a VIP Ticket, you will also be getting your two Special Run Redemption Tickets (you have already paid for your two Special Runs), two Limited Edition Model Redemption Tickets for the models that you already paid for (you will still be able to purchase more Limited Editions during the event), and a Swag Box Redemption Ticket. Virtual Attendees will not be getting a Ticket Book as your Account is the Ticket.
Buying your Models: The locations of where the models will be handed out have changed a few times so I am going to say that there will be plenty of signage to locate your models of all kinds. Once you are at the location to buy your Special Run models, you will need to hand them the Reservation Tickets, if you have them, and then you will be paying for your models. The cost of the model is the actual cost of the model as tax has already been added into the price. So that $85 Surprise Special Run model is still just $85. Limited Edition Models are going to be located in the BreyerFest Stores, there are two this year, and online. Even those that are attending in person should be able to purchase all of the Limited Editions online. Their prices also have tax worked into them so the price that you see on the item is the price that you pay.
Forms of Payment: Breyer will accept cash or cards, but no checks. You also cannot pay with children or firstborn (just a joke) as I have tried this and have been rejected. What should you choose? That depends on you. Personally, I take both (I never post how much that I am taking due to safety reasons and I will ask that you please do the same) and keep them in two separate locations on my person.
Shipping: I see a lot of people asking about this and that is awesome! I had a post about it and it vanished, curse you FB! So, I will be making a guide post later on so that it will remain in the group, however here are some options: There will be a UPS booth in the Covered Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park. There might be a UPS booth at the Clarion as well, but I have not gotten a confirmation on that one right now. There is a UPS Store in Georgetown that might have lower prices than the Booths. And there is a USPS Hub at 1088 Nandino Drive, which is a short drive from the Clarion and the Kentucky Horse Park.
Storing Models during the Event: There will be a Bag Check booth where you can store your models for an hour at a time near the BreyerFest Store. If you do not want to use that, the option to take your models to the car after each store trip is there as well. Typically, the models are fine for a few hours in the heat, unless they are a vintage model or a custom purchased in the Covered Arena. No shopping bags, open bags, wagons, etc, are allowed in the BreyerFest Stores so be aware of that. They are allowed on the Concourse, however please be aware that it is crowded and wagons are hard to handle in that area.
