BreyerFest 2021 Contests- You MUST Read The Rules on Breyer's Website!!

 BreyerFest Contests and Information

These are the contests from BreyerFest. This information comes from the Breyer website and the links have been shared and added to the BreyerFest Virtual Event Planning Post Topic.
This year, 2021, BreyerFest is a virtual event once again. This means that the contests are virtual again as well. This means that you will need to submit photos and a video of some kind in order to showcase your creation. There is a file from last year that should show you how to upload a video to a Google Document so that it can be shared with the judges. Make sure to check that file out when it comes down to uploading. Now, let’s get into the details of all of these contests.
First, in order to enter these contests, you will need to have a VIP or an All Access ticket. These contests are free, however please be aware that there are some people that cannot enter these contests. Most of the International members, Quebec, and six US states are all unable to enter these contests due to various laws that surround this type of contest. I am asking that you email or call Breyer in order to try and change this, however using RTB is not the best place for it currently as we are a fan based group. Here is what they say exactly in the rules about who can and who cannot enter: Contest is open to all legal residents of the U.S. (excluding AZ, CO, MD, NE, ND and VT), U.K., and Canada (excluding Quebec) where allowed with a BreyerFest 2021 VIP All-Access or BreyerFest 2021 All-Access ticket and an email account. Parent must submit entry if entrant is under age 13. If selected as a potential winner, parental consent is required for entrants under age 18 (or under the legal age of majority in the entrant’s state of residence in the U.S. or jurisdiction of residence in Canada – whichever is greater). Void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law.
The Diorama Contest is highly competitive, however this contest will allow all levels of participants to enter. The rules, while they seem long, are very easy and while it comes down to the judge’s opinion, this contest is not based on finish work. The complete diorama must fit into a 12 inch cube and made entirely by the person that enters it. If you have a child under the age of 18, please make sure that they follow all safety rules. As long as the Diorama follows the theme, you will be able to enter into contest so make sure that your idea follows along with one of the three sources of artwork from Breyer. Links are provided on Breyer’s website under the Rules and Regulations for the Diorama Contest as well as in the group under the BreyerFest Virtual Event Planning post topic. The Diorama Contest is split into age groups, so make sure that youenter the correct age group. You are must use Breyer models, but they can be customized, as long as you are the person that does all of the work. I hope that this helps a bit! Reading the rules from Breyer is the absolute best bet in this contest. https://www.breyerhorses.com/pages/breyerfest-2021-diorama-contest-how-to-enter
The Costume Contest is making a return this year after being absent last year. Originally Breyer had wanted to find a way to better showcase this contest, but then we all went virtual. The rules and regulations will be the absolute best way to start into this contest as with the other contests. You must make all of the accessories of the costume by yourself and they must fit into the theme of Living Artwork. There are three Sources on the Breyer website of artwork that you must choose from. No pairs or groups are allowed, this is single participation only. Please make sure to read all of the rules and regulations in this contest as they will always be the best place to answer questions. https://www.breyerhorses.com/pages/breyerfest-2021-costume-contest-how-to-enter
The Best Customs Contest is returning this year and will be sure to wow everyone with spectacular artwork from the absolute best of the best. Anyone can enter this contest, but just know that everything is based on the theme, finish work, and how well your artwork looks and fits the categorizes. You will definitely need to read the rules and regulations thoroughly if you want to enter this contest as some times it comes down to the minute details in this contest. However, you never know what might happen and you might get to be a finalist and never realize how awesome your work is! Reading the rules and regulations will be the absolute best bet if you want to enter this contest: https://www.breyerhorses.com/pages/breyerfest-2021-best-customs-contest-how-to-enter
I am sorry that this file is not the most awesome or informative. I do not normally enter the contests so I do not have personal experience to write about. I have entered the Best Customs contest once as well as the Diorama Contest, but I did them both on a whim and both entries were not the best of the best, but they were the best of me and I was extremely proud of them. My best advice on these contests are yes, to read Breyer’s rules, but just have fun with it. You never know what will catch the judge’s eye. Just have fun with it and see where it goes. I am a hardcore supporter that BreyerFest is supposed to be fun and this is all part of the fun! So get out there and make some awesome things, if you want to enter the contests, but make sure that they fit in with the rules. I have provided the links of the rules for each contest above, but you might need to copy and paste them into your search bar since some times, Facebook does not like me adding links to the files. Thank you for reading!
