Let’s Talk BreyerFest...Buying Models With An All Access Ticket, That Is!

In this next series of posts, I will be going over exactly how to purchase the Limited Edition and Special Run Models with each ticket type during BreyerFest. The second ticket type that we are going to go over is the All Access Ticket.

This in person ticket is the most common ticket that many BreyerFest Attendees will purchase. This $90 ticket allows you to purchase two Special Runs for each ticket that you have, allows you to purchase Limited Editions during the event, and so much more. As this post is all about buying models, that is all that I will be discussing here.

Special Runs:

Buying Special Runs with the All Access Ticket has certainly evolved over the years and this year is no exception. You do not get to select your models before hand, like the VIP Ticket, and you do not get to walk through the tent and buy what is there, to a degree. So exactly how are you going to be buying these models?! You will be using the Special Run Preference List! This hard to explain, but easy to actually fill out list has been used since 2020 and is currently the standard in how to select and receive your Special Runs, to a degree. So how does it all work? First, in order to use this Special Run Preference List, you will need to purchase your All Access Ticket before May 14th. If you purchase your ticket after May 14th, you will not be using the Special Run Preference List.

Special Run Preference List:

This list allows you to rank the Special Runs in the order that you like them and then send that list back to Breyer to let them know how you would select them. This list does not guarantee that you will receive those models in that order by any means. It is just a list to tell Breyer how you would rank and purchase these models. After May 14th, you will receive an email with a link that will take you to a page on the Breyer website that will list all of the Special Runs and their prices available to you (in person has access to all of them and Online Traditional Access have access to only four). You will scroll down and see that you have two choices- a Master List or an Individual List.

The Master List allows you to rank the Special Runs for all of the tickets on your account in one place. This list is great to use if you are looking to not get as many duplicates. You will see as many number 1s through number 9s for however many tickets that you have on your account. No one is able to tell you how you want to rank the Special Runs and no one can predict exactly which ones will cost more, if you are looking to resell. Fill out the list in the ranking order that you want and make sure to submit the List. Breyer will accept the last list submitted so you are able to change it many times. You will see the option “No Other Options” or something like that and people will tell you to use that if you do not want any other models, but please use this option with caution- You could NOT receive a model!

The Individual List allows you to make a separate list for each ticket on your account. This list is great to use if you want greater control over the models that you want to receive and do not mind duplicates. You will be filling out a list for each ticket so you are able to change the rankings for each list. No one is able to tell you how you want to rank the models and no one can predict which ones will cost more to resell. Rank the Special Runs to your liking! You are able to submit the lists as many times as you want, Breyer will accept the last list submitted. You will see the option “No Other Options” or something like that and people will tell you to use that if you do not want any other models, but please use this option with caution- You could NOT receive a model!

Typically, you will have around 2 weeks in order to complete the Special Run Preference List and return it to Breyer. If you miss this step or you do not want to fill out a list, you will have random Special Runs selected for your account.

When Ticket Books are sent out, you will find out which Special Runs were selected for your account. If you are International, you will need to wait until you pick up your Ticket Books from Will Call before the event. Inside your Ticket Books, you will have Redemption Tickets for the Special Runs that were pulled for your account. However, if the models that you had ranked near the top were not available during your “Time Slot” (This is an imaginary time slot that Breyer uses when pulling the Special Runs for your ticket and does not reflect a time slot at the in person event.), you will receive a Wild Card Redemption Ticket. The Wild Card Redemption Ticket will allow you select your Special Runs out of the remaining stock on hand at BreyerFest.

Actually Buying the Special Runs:

Even though you have used the Special Run Preference List to rank your Special Runs before the event, you will not actually be paying for your Special Runs until the event in July. When you have your Redemption Tickets, you will take them to the Special Run Tent and pick up your models and pay for them there. There will be signage to direct you to where the Special Run Tent is and which line that you will need to get into. You have all weekend long in order to pick up and purchase your Special Runs, there are no longer any Time Slots.

Buying Limited Edition Models:

At the event, you are able to purchase as many Limited Editions as you want through the BreyerFest Store. Limited Editions are not limited in how many someone can purchase (they are limited in quantity though). Just head through the BreyerFest Store during BreyerFest and you can buy those awesome Limited Editions.

All Access Ticket Book Inclusions:

What will come with the All access Ticket Book? While we do not know exactly what the Ticket Books will look like for this year, we can guess what they might look like based off of last year. With the All Access Ticket Book, you will have one Redemption Ticket for the Celebration Horse Model (for each All Access Ticket that you have purchased), two Special Run Redemption Tickets for the Special Runs that were selected for your account or two Wild Card Redemption Tickets or one of each (for however many tickets are on your account), one ticket for the Celebration of Horses Evening Performance for the evening that you selected, one Parking Pass if you purchased one, and one Admission wristband that must be worn at all times during the event. Last year, there was also a map of BreyerFest and a small FAQ section, in case that you needed it.

And Lastly-

Breyer accepts cash and cards at BreyerFest, no checks at all. Make sure that you let your credit/debit card agency or bank know that you will be traveling and that you will incur charges from all over the US and some international even. There are very few ATMs in the area so if you need cash, make sure to grab it before coming to the Kentucky Horse Park. The internet is known to go down at BreyerFest, at least once during the event, so if you have cash, the lines can go a bit faster. At the Clarion, cash is king since many people do not accept cards or PayPal.
