Let's Talk BreyerFest...BreyerFest Model Terms, That Is!

Let’s Talk BreyerFest...What Those Models are Called, That Is! Part 1

All throughout the model horse hobby, there are a ton of different terms for different kinds of models, like Original Finish and Custom Models or even OOAK. While there is a lovely post about those terms in the Model Horse Hobby Information Guide here in the group, I want to go over the terms of BreyerFest model releases in particular. These terms have changed in the last few years and they can be downright confusing anymore, especially if you went to BreyerFest before the new changes.
This post will be covering what we now call Event Models. I will be breaking down each term and explain what it used to be called, which tickets will be able to purchase it, and how you will be able to get it for BreyerFest 2023.
The term Event Models was coined in 2021 after Breyer decided to get rid of the Single Day Tickets and add on the virtual event tickets. The term Event Models covers two different types of models, however these are all models that are available to ticket holders. These are models that you do not purchase and come with your ticket. No matter which ticket that you purchase for BreyerFest, you will be guaranteed to at least get the Event Model.
The Celebration Horse model is an Event Model. This model is available to the VIP Ticket Holders, the All Access Ticket Holders, and the Online Traditional Access Ticket Holders. For the VIP Ticket Holders and the All Access Ticket Holders, you will receive a Redemption Ticket for this model and you will need to pick it up in person during BreyerFest. It will not be sent to your location. For the Online Traditional Access Ticket Holders, your Celebration Horse Model will be sent to the address that is on your Account Details page, free of charge.
The Event Stablemates were once known as the Single Day Stablemates. Some people do still call them the Single Day Stablemates because that is what they remember and that is perfectly alright as well, just remember that there are no longer any Single Day Tickets for BreyerFest. All BreyerFest Tickets are for all three days. The Event Stablemates are a series of typically four Stablemates that are of special colorways that fit the event. This set of models are available to certain ticket holders in certain ways: The VIP Ticket Holders will receive one full Set of these Event Stablemates. The General Access Ticket Holders will receive one randomly selected Event Stablemate per ticket that they have purchased*. You will receive a Redemption Ticket in your Ticket Books to pick these up during BreyerFest. The Online Stablemate Access virtual event Ticket will receive one randomly selected Event Stablemate per ticket purchased that will be sent to your address on file on your Account Details Page**.
*The wording on the Ticket Pages and on the Redemption Tickets in the Ticket Books will state that these are randomly selected. During slower times, you might be able to choose the Stablemates that you want or you will be able to ask for a full set if you have that many tickets. You can purchase as many General Access Tickets that you want.
**Buying multiple Online Stablemate Tickets does not guarantee that you will get a full set from the warehouse. You could purchase four Online Stablemate Tickets and get all four Event Stablemates that are the same one.
One last thought: Last year, All Access Ticket Holders and General Access Ticket Holders were able to purchase full sets of Event Stablemates in the the BreyerFest Store in person for $80. I was not able to check to see if the online attendees were allowed to do this until the Second Chance Sale in September.
So, in conclusion, the Event Models are the name of the models that come with the tickets, no matter what form that they take. There is a Traditional Sized Celebration Horse model that comes with the VIP Ticket, the All Access Ticket and the Online Traditional Access Ticket and there is the Event Stablemates that come with the General Access Ticket and the Online Stablemate Ticket.
I hope that this has helped!
